1 Thessalonians 4:1-12
God is both transcendent and immanent. He is both far and near. On one hand, he is above and outside and sovereign over everything else. On the other hand, he has been and is involved in our world. The Bible bears witness to the acts of God throughout history, culminating in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
But God is not finished with us. Believers in Jesus await his future return when he will gather his own to himself. In this study of 1 Thessalonians, we’ll learn about Jesus’ return, and how to live in anticipation of his coming.
