Ours is an age of widespread despair and it’s no wonder. We’re bombarded with messages claiming we’re facing various existential, end-of-the-world crises. Curiously, many who satirize what they consider the typical Christian as someone wearing a sign board claiming “The End Is Near” have donned the same message board of their own.
The only reliable cure for existential angst about the future is to know God – personally. When we do, we have what Titus 1:2 calls the “hope of eternal life.” We know we have it because God promises it to all who know him. In this series of messages from Paul’s letter to Titus entitled Hopeful, we’ll consider how to live with confidence regarding the future.
