During the final week of Jesus’ public ministry, people went from lauding him as the promised Messiah to calling for his crucifixion. Most of his followers abandoned him as he suffered for the sins of every human being. But this wasn’t the end of God’s amazing plan. Three days after his death, Jesus was raised again to life. And now he offers forgiveness of sin and eternal life to all who will believe (Romans 10:9-10).
In this two-week series, we examine Dr Luke’s account of Jesus’ triumphal entry, crucifixion, and resurrection. the triumphant message of the gospel is that “Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father [so that] we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)
